Open wallet surgery

Happy Halloween

Am updating before going to work today, might forget later in my hurry to get to the pub, though I never have too much on a Saturday as always up very early on Sundays.

Would appear I didn't take loads of pictures this month, not been a spectacularly exciting one and the darkness time has started, I much prefer the lighter months, so depressing when it's getting dark around 4pm.

Well, I bought a new car on Tuesday this week! My old one had lasted me 12 years, but was a struggle to get it through MOT in recent years, plus the driver's door was caught in galeforce wind on way back from work last Sunday, meaning it didn't really close properly. I then decided that action was needed so did a bit of research and headed to Arnold Clark MG showroom in Kirkcaldy. It is new and cost a lot, but what is money for? I hope it's my last big car purchase as I'll be very old if this car lasts as long as last one.

Not really been an eventful month otherwise, probably was drinking too much and too often, supporting the local economy with my careless spending. Also bought a few German Oktoberfest beers in Lidl which were very nice, but didn't last long. I cut the grass once and hope to do so again one last time this year. Getting the ivy cut from side of flat this coming week, it needs it.

Was up the farm at least once, and did a run or two, though my keep-fit intentions went out the window in the second half of the month, must be more disciplined in November and make more use of the treadmill too (not that my downstairs neighbour will enjoy that). I don't like November much, dark and wet usually and mostly uneventful, maybe this year will be different.

Here a couple of photos, will be off to work in the new car for the first time soon, will drive carefully.
